Can you visit Maafushi during the rainy season?
Yes — the Maldives rainy season (May–October) doesn't mean constant rain. Showers are typically short-lived and followed by sunshine. The main downside is choppy seas (some boat excursions are affected) and lower snorkelling visibility. Prices are significantly cheaper and the island is less crowded. Whale shark season also peaks in this period.
